Best of 2010: Osmosis, Marco Polo, Club Privilege’s One Year Anniversary, Absinthe, Dream Weekend

These parties had the crowd and that vibe that you will forever look back on as a GREAT party. Some of the BEST parties I attended in 2010 and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us in 2011.

Honorable Mentions:  Karma, Twisted Spiritz, Summer-Barraage, Solstice

These parties deserve an honorable mention. All had a really good atmosphere that you didn’t want to end.

Worst of 2010: Sweet Escape

This party was just not up to par on ALL levels.

Party I regret Going: Velocity

I seriously REGRET going to this party… those close to me know why. I won’t say.

Best Décor: Summer-Barraage

The set-up at summer Bar-Raage was simply great; it was new, unlike any other. The Vip area, the stage with a Mosh Pit surrounded by a stage for artists to perform. *Thumbs Up*

Honorable Mention: Osmosis

The Décor at Osmosis (Christmas Edition) was as it stated, a Master-class, as with summer Bar-Raage it was evident that a lot of thought went into the set-up to visually please patrons.

Party I’m Sorry I Missed: Smudge (Christmas edition)

This party! I sat at home watching my twitter timeline, wondering “Is It too late to go to Smudge?” the tweets  had me in awe of the happenings there, Along with the expected party vibe, which seemed to have been great by itself,  there were a couple distractions that gave party-goers  much added entertainment… to be blunt, FIGHTS LIKE CRAZY! Girl vs Girl … Boy vs Girl … Boy vs Boy, Smudge had it all! Lol

Could 2011 be any better ? .... I hope! =)

Party Review: Bacchanal Pre-Party

Name of Party: Bacchanal Pre-Party
Date: January 7, 2011
Venue: Mas Camp

Last week Friday at Mas Camp, We got a taste of the upcoming Carnival season at the pre-party for Bacchanal. Soca fans that couldn’t wait until the 18th of February for the official launch got the opportunity to get their feet wet and ready for the upcoming season.

Although it wasn’t publicized as much as it could have been, I must say it had a good turnout. At minutes to 12, there was already a large crowd… Soca fans were already dancing, jumping and raving to the soca hits of new and old which I’m sure were greatly missed. The musical selection was good as the Dj's mixes gave us the expected Soca, a little hip-hop and dancehall and teased us with a couple remixes of all genres.

Overall, the vibe was okay. Could have been better, but as stated earlier, this was just a pre-party to get our feet wet. I’m sure the upcoming Bacchanal Fridays will be much better, as it was last year. As usual, at 2 a.m. the party came to its scheduled end and party-goers made their way out the venue to either continue the nightlife somewhere else or end the night at home.

I’d give Bacchanal’s pre-party a 7/10 rating. It was good overall, but the vibe and energy fluctuated from time to time so I’d say there might be mixed reviews.

Randoms

·   I had NO alcohol! Lol… which seemed to shock everyone lol… even the bartender laughed at me for drinking strictly pepsi lol

·   My poor eyes! Saw some things! lol

·   As I said in an earlier blog post, when I go out, I go to Party, not to watch other people… Sooooo ….. I’m sure everyone can figure out where I’m getting at.

Party Review: W

Name Of Party: W
Date: January 1st, 2011
Venue: The Terrace (Loj/Sagicor Building)

(First of all, Let me wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR, hope you all had a great time ringing it in with your friends and family… Let’s leave all the negativity in 2010 and use 2011 to be better people.)

Having not partied for a while, including New Years Eve (YES! I Fred, stayed home …. And rang in the new year with the one I love the most, my mom=) I decided why not start the year at W to simply get my feet wet and slowly get back into partying lifestyle. In my opinion, W is not the party where you’d go expecting a CRAZY VIBE! The crowd that W attracts is not the type to “Bruk Out” or “Dash Out”... so it was the perfect place for me to slowly start the year.

My overall view of this edition of W is that it was just OK. There were times when it obviously seemed LAME, but it got much better down to the end when the selector had the crowd going with a slew of recent hits. People started dancing and making the most of the party. It had a pretty good turn out as well as a couple of public figures like Bounty Killer and Baby Cham.

I’d give W a 6.5/10 rating, It was a nice party, nothing GREAT, just ok. I didn’t go expecting much but in the end, it was worthwhile, I enjoyed it. This was my first party where I put in place my New Year’s resolution of NO Alcohol, and still, I danced and made the most of it, proving to myself that alcohol is not needed to have a good time.
