Party Review: Altitude

Name of Party:  Altitude
Date:  June 10, 2011
Venue:  Hope Gardens

Appleton Altitude’s Black & White party is one that’s anticipated every year by the fashion forward party-goers who rolls out decked in some of today’s the hottest fashions. And you know me, had to look the part.

I got to Hope Gardens at around 12:30; where I was greeted to a very scanty looking crowd. No worries, I took the time to walk through the venue to observe the décor which was done nicely I must say and then I made my first stop at the one of few bars that was there. The music and the vibe at the time were very subpar.

I continued drinking and decided to make the best of things. To make matter worse, there was a little glitch with the sound system which left the venue in total silence for a couple seconds, and this was repeated once again as the night went on.

You might be thinking altitude was a total flop, right? ... WRONG! At around 1:30-2:00 the things made a U-turn for the better. The vibe picked up, the crowd grew immensely, the music was much better. The fashionistas came out representing! People were dancing and having fun, well, I know I was. I made my way out the venue at 4:00, leaving my friends behind to continue partying.

Overall, I’d give Altitude an 8/10 rating. The décor was good, the bars kept the liquor flowing and served in a timely manner.  Was a very good crowd and I must say, my night went well. Things started out slow, but turned out to be a GREAT night.

RANDOMS
Don’t really have any, but let’s talk about how I was “INTOXICATED” and that coco ! lol

Let’s NOT talk about that bartender who wanted to get me in T-R-O-U-B-L-E!  I won’t say how though! lol ...  *Side-eye*

In My Opinion, Altitude made up for last year, where I heard it had an early lock off n many other things, due to the SOE we were under @ the time.

I Used to have a problem with persons not conforming to the dress code, but, sometimes it can be a case of you NOT planning on going to an event until the LAST LAST minute and have to “Where weh yuh ave”, but that’s different from persons who intentionally break the dress-code to be just that, a rule breaker.
