The Appleton/Smudge team has done it again. This edition of Smudge was the Jump-Off to the ATI weekend which takes place at the end of this month, and Smudge has set the bar very high and raised expectations of what’s to come later this month in Negril.
If you chose to go to Smudge, it would have been one of your best decisions for the summer, and if you missed smudge, you surely missed out on a starting July on a high.
Hours before arriving, I watched my twitter timeline to see what the talk about Smudge was, and I was shocked that in those early stages, I was seeing tweets stating that “SMUDGE TUNN UP” and this was during a slight drizzle, that further swayed me the right way. I arrived at around 8:00 to a packed venue in which it was evident that party was already in FULL swing. At 8, there were already couples on the floor dancing and many partygoers washed with sweat.
I must let it be clear, that I’m putting Smudge up there as one of the BEST parties of the year so far. It had the crowd, nice décor and GREAT vibes. Unlike most parties where you would say “it had its dull moments”, smudge on the other hand kept the vibe at a high level throughout. The Dj’s of the night (Chrome,Liquid and Ice) did a great job of keeping the intensity high. Liquor was flowing and the transition of drinks to patron was quick, which is usually a problem at parties with big crowds. This staging of Smudge was a success on all levels and it’s a good look on the ATI weekend line-up.
I’ve yet to see or hear any negative comments about Smudge, “SMUDGE DID SICKKKKK”,”IT SHELL!”,” IT TUN UPPP” are the comments that have bombarded my timeline, and I have to be in agreement. Overall, I’d give Smudge a 10/10 rating.

* The ladies came out in their numbers and showed off their “Beach Chic” attires and were not afraid to let loose. The men also came out in style, although some didn’t get the memo, but sweaters and cardigans aren’t beach attire.
* Di fluffy wid di red hair! Big up yoself ! lol … Really though, I love it when a woman who is on the plus size is confident about her looks and it shows.
* THAT COUPLE! Over by those two trucks! mmmhhhmmm me did see unu ! Slackness @ di ppl dem good good party!
