Let's Ring In The New Year!

There are a number of parties going on this New Year’s Eve and in this blog entry I’ll be doing a brief preview of the parties which I think are worth attending to ring in the New Year, the right way!

1) Absinthe

At this Absinthe, all I’m hoping for is that it doesn’t come to an early end like last year. I hope the promoters have a lot in store for party-goers to compensate us for sub-par party last NYE which was mainly due to the early lock-off. 

Absinthe is usually a highly anticipated party with a great vibe and atmosphere so I’m expecting nothing less, and with the change of venue to Palisadoes Go cart Track, I’m hoping there will be no early lock-off so we can fully experience what the party has to offer.

2) French Connection 

I’m already hearing that the VIP tickets are SOLD OUT… hhhhmmmmmm! *thinks*Really ?

Anyways, Good party, boasting a VERY NICE menu, had an early lock off last year… but they have also changed the venue to Fort Charles (Port Royal), I guess to lower the prospect of a repeat of last year. French Connection is one of those parties which are always the talk of the town this time of year.

3) Destination Moon 3D

For this party, with Digicel being title sponsor and ticket prices being $6,000… I’m expecting greatness! 

Those are my three picks for the PARTIES that I think are worth attending to ring in the New Years. If you want to try something different this year,(i.e. other than the party scene) I’d suggest Club Privilege’s “Masquerade” which is being heavily talked about. Try it!

What will I be doing this New Year's Eve?…………………………. BRACE FOR IT !!!!!!!........................ DON’T BE SHOCKED ……………………………….. (O____O) ………………………………. I’m staying homeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!........... Well, maybe! *Shrugs* lol

How Was Your Christmas?

Sorry I haven’t made any new blog post in a couple of days, but I’ve been very sick since Friday morning and I’m just getting back the strength to actually start writing again.

How Was my Christmas? …  Wasn’t good at all as I said, had to be home in bed, I couldn’t even enjoy my Christmas dinner. I also had to miss FOUR good parties! Lol, that should tell you how bad it was, but! I can’t complain too much, I had a great time leading up to Christmas day, so I have to give thanks for that, for life and that I’m actually getting better.

I hope you had a great Christmas with your family and friends and I hope you spared a minute to thank God for life… or just be thankful for the opportunity to make through another day and possibly another year!

What does Christmas mean to you?

I must say, with all the partying that has been going on so far, we should take a time to really look at what Christmas means to each of us, as it’s not just about partying as this blog would make it seem.

Christmas is a time where we should be thankful for making it throughout the year, a time to ask for forgiveness, a time to lend a helping hand where needed, a time to spend with your loved ones and most of all to acknowledge the birth of Jesus Christ.

Let’s not lose sight of the true meaning of Christmas, Try to spare a moment to at least give to the less fortunate or say a little prayer to give thanks for life or whatever you should be thankful for before you begin the Christmas festivities.

There’s no doubt that on this Boxing Day, there’s no place better to be than @ Smudge. Seeing that the previous editions were such a hit, I’m hoping this one will be no different. I’m anticipating a “CRAZZYYY “party vibe at Smudge this Boxing Day.

Barcode is another one of those parties last weekend that had to be postponed due to the inclement weather. This Barcode will be a little different as it’s now a day-night event. Barcode is usually a success, I’m curious to see how it goes with the change of time; nevertheless, I’m expecting a good turnout.

Party Review: Karma!

Name of Party:  Karma

Date: December 19, 2010

Venue: Hope Gardens

Well well well… I remember the Karma that kept earlier this year and how it came to an abrupt end due to some heavy showers; I also remember going home SOAKED! And for a second, it seemed as if history was about to repeat itself.  The weather threatened the whole party weekend causing cancellation to two parties and I wondered if the same would happen to Karma, I even wondered what the turnout was going to be like as there were three other parties on the same day, at the same time.

I got there at around 8, a little late if you ask me, for an event that was from 4-12. At that time there wasn’t that much of a crowd, may have seemed that way because everyone stood on the outskirts and shied away from the middle. The set-up was really good and it was evident that a lot of thought went into it. I made my way to the bar, got my drinks and was ready to begin the night. The music was right and you could feel the vibe from the onset that it was going to be a great night.

I can’t say much more, as I’m sad to say that I got a little too “TIPSY” and can’t remember much, but I must say… KARMA DID MAWWWWDDDDDDD….. I think this was a great way of making up for the untimely end of the previous edition. I have no complaints about Karma, it was simply great. Karma stood its ground against the other parties and had a good turnout… The crowd, the vibe… *Thumbs Up*

Overall I’d give Karma an 8.5/10 rating.

Party Review: Winter Bar-Raage

Name of Party: Winter Bar-Raage

Date: December 18,2010

Venue: Chinese Benevolent Association 

I must say the best thing the promoters did for this party was to make it an indoor event as the rain threatened the whole party weekend causing cancellation to a couple events. Winter Bar-Raage was not to be stopped!

I had been anticipating this party for quite some time, so I ensured I got there early. Around 12 when i arrived, the crowd was sparse, but this was early IMO, later on the venue became filled with partygoers ready to have a crazy time. I made my way up to the VIP area, I must say, a lot of consideration went into this as the décor was up to Par, epitomizing V.IP. I had to take advantage of the VIP area being all Inclusive, so my first trip was to try the food. The Jerk chicken and pasta was great!(^____^)…. Was now time to drink and get the party started.

The vibe at that time was good, it was building, but the party reached its climax at around 2-3 when the DJ got everyone riled up and in the party mood. The venue was now filled with patrons liquored up and having a good time. The men showed off their dancing moved then the females started to “DASH OUT” then it was DAGGERING TIME! The whole crowd was moving and having a good time.

Overall, I enjoyed myself. What I Love about Lawless Events is their ability to somehow draw friends together, they’re the only party I see that  can pull people from twitter to come out and party in one place and that set the vibes for a good night. I’ve seen different reviews about this party, many said “WINTER BAR-RAAGE DID TUN UPPPPPP”… some say “It did aaarite”

I’d give Winter Bar-Raage a 7.8/10 rating. [Décor: 7/10]-[Liquor/ Bar service: 9/10]-[Food: 8/10]-[Crowd: 8/10]-[Vibe: 7/10]. I was there with good friends and had a really good time. Lawless & Alca Entertainment (Y)
